The Tethys Belt is a band of Earths in the High Meggers where Mesoamerica doesn't exist. It is named after the Tethys Sea that existed long ago on the Datum.

On Tethys Belt worlds, the Pacific Ocean breaks through into the Gulf of Mexico and the Mediterranean flows through the Middle East into the Arabian Sea. Becuase of this, the Earths have a continuous waterway running the whole way around the planet.

The differences in the global ocean currants mean that the worlds of the Tethys Belt are warmer,[1] and have trees from pole to pole.[2]
