Earth East 1 is a Low Earth world, located one step East of the Datum.
On this Earth's version of Rome, Walter Nicholas Boyd built a scaffold to match the position of the balcony in St Peter's and stepped over in an attempt to assassinate the Pope.[1]
His attempt failed even if the Pope was badly wounded.
